First Official Holiday of the summer

I hope everyone has a safe,happy,fun-filled holiday weekend. We don't have anything big planned here-just maybe cooking lunch/dinner on the grill,letting the kid play in the backyard pool or sprinklers--and trying to stay as COOL as possible. It is HOT! The temps the past few days have been in the 90s. That's too hot for me. I hibernate in the summer when the temps get this high-or higher. I'm just not a summer person. I'm fair skinned and don't TAN--I burn,very easily. My son is even more fair than I am. Thank goodness for 50+ sunscreen.

FLOODING is now plaguing people all along the Mississippi River. It's heartbreaking to see all the devistation and destruction these waters do.

It's the WEEKEND!!!!

It's the weekend...I hope everyone out there has a great one-relaxing at home after a hard week of work or getting out and about with the kids and enjoying the lovely weather we're having. No plans for what we'll do as of yet,but that's no big deal. I don't mind spending quiet time at home--the husband on the other hand gets a little stir-crazy if he is in the house all weekend. He wants to go target shooting out at granny's house in the country. The shooting range that his shooting club belongs to will be closed for the next week,so he has to improvise. I have a few errands that need to be done but it's nothing pressing,so I'll get to them when I get to them....
